Ravaged by a pandemic, society has collapsed. David Baldwin, an asymptomatic carrier of the disease, has been kept isolated in a remote mountain wilderness for two years. Timers rule his life: eating; exercising; drawing his blood and trading it for food under the watchful eye of a drone. His only contact is via video link with his wife Sam, an epidemiologist studying his blood in the search of a cure.
But David starts to suspect something is wrong with the story he’s been told, and Sam may be in danger. Venturing outside his safe zone, he disrupts the careful balance of his existence, and exposes himself to the terrifying world beyond - a hazmat-suited killer stalking the woods, a nefarious entity always watching from above, and a disease that changes people into… something else. To save Sam, he has to put the pieces together, before it’s too late.
Banishment is a film about isolation, loneliness, and trust. How long can you endure being alone? Who do you trust when your experience is at odds with what you’re being told? What would you do to protect the ones you love, when the biggest danger to them might be you?

At its core, this project is barebones guerilla passion. With just a handful of cast and crewmembers and a few personal resources, we want to tell a story that hasn’t been told before, and one that’s very relevant today. We self-financed and are done with principle photography, but still need support for the months of post-production work that stretch ahead of us. If, in this wild year, and amidst other, far nobler causes, you have any cash to help us bring this film to life, we’d love to have you on our post-apocalyptic survival team!
